Chinmaya Ramdoot (satellite center of CMTC, New Jersey) conducted the first BOSS (Building Optimistic & Smart Students) camp on 14th/15th December 2019. The camp theme was “Buddhir Balam” and Ramdoot balavihar children from Grades 5 & 6 participated in this overnight camp at Chinmaya Vrindavan Ashram, Cranbury, NJ.

Campers arrived around 3 pm on Saturday and got to know each other better through an Ice Breaker session. Each child shared about his or her unique talents and sports interests. Our Grade 6 teacher Smt.Sangeetha Anand shared memorable and funny experiences from her work as a trainee in an Indian government department early in her career.

Smt. Maneesha Dave from Chinmaya Vrindavan was our Guest Speaker and she engaged the kids with stories about Lord Hanuman. She also had a think-out-of-the-box exercise that the children enjoyed doing. The children loved the T-Shirt painting session followed by dinner and a movie.

The Sunday morning dawned with a wonderful Yoga session by Sri. Rajan Narayanasamy, also from Chinmaya Vrindavan. With warm bagels for breakfast the camp concluded with a reflection session and take home message.
