E- Geeta Chanting Yagna 2020

Given the current Covid Pandemic circumstances, Chinmaya Ramdoot held its annual Gita Chanting Yagna online (virtual using Zoom)  this year on May 2nd, 2020.  Children and adults alike gathered throughout the morning to show off their practice and dedication not only to perfecting their chanting skills, but also to understanding Arjuna’s dharmic plight in the middle of the Kurukshetra (in Chapter 1, arjuna-viṣhāda-yogam), one that prompted him to learn the divine knowledge of Gita from the Lord himself. The tireless work of countless sevaks was also instrumental in the event’s success. This year’s Gita Yagna demonstrated the timelessness of Gita to us; even after thousands of years, and even in the most unexpected of times, Gita is still a uniting factor that brings us all together. Most of all, everyone had lots of fun, whether that be in seeing new faces, enjoying chanting, or reveling in the glory of the Gita, the great scriptural teacher.
